Sefaira Educational Program at the UTFPR
After learning energy efficiency of buildings with simulation tools, experience during a student exchange year at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin (Germany) in 2017, I came with the idea of bringing it to our university in Curitiba. I proposed it to Professor Heverson Tamashiro, coordinator of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department at the UTFPR by that time, in 2019. We decided to try it on!
I was pleased to connect with the provider Trimble Sketchup, as we were granted 100 student licenses from the Sefaira Educational Program (SEP) for a year. SEP was inserted in the Architectural Design 6 discipline program of the 8th semester with Professor Karina Pimentel, introducing BIM and simulation tools within Architecture Bachelor course in 2020.
